Description
John Badley of Somerset County, Delaware and his wife, Margaret, probably the daughter of Charles Dean, had six sons and three daughters. John Badley's will was probated in 1777. Most descendants listed, to ca. 1890, lived in Maryland or Delaware. Many descendants spell their surname Bradley.
Includes the Wilson, Knowles and other related families.

Description
Prior to 1890, records for Salisbury District were to be recorded with those of Holy Cross (Dover, Delaware; 1890-1910 in St. Charles (Cape Charles, Virginia). About 1910, St. Francis de Sales became a parish and St. Mary, Star of the Sea mission (Ocean City, Maryland) was associated with it from then until it became a parish. Baptism transcripts concerning members of Salsbury District from the earlier parish registers are in this filming.

The Tolson family originates from England. One early ancestor was Benjamin Tolson (1693-1759), who was born in Northumberland Co., Virginia. He lived on a farm near the area of Wicomico. He and his wife Mary were parents of seven children. He married (2) Elizabeth Dunnaway in 1752. Sometime in the 1730's Benjamin moved his family to Stafford County, Virginia.
Includes allied families of Combs, Harrison, Bullitt, Ratcliffe, Herndon etc.

Samuel Cooksey was born before 1673. His second wife was Christian Tennis, daughter of Justinian Tennis or Tennison and Katherine Gresham. They had one son, William Cooksey. Descendant James B.
